GASA GASA
(ガサガサ)

Na-adjective, Adverb, Noun, Suru verb, No-adjective

1. rustling; dry or rough feeling

Onomatopoeic or mimetic word

Gasa gasa is how you might mimic the sound of a tiger stalking you. Informally, it’s also used to describe someone unfocused and rough, as if their brain was up there rifling through paper memories.

In those terms, we’re unfocused on being a single entity. We’re rough in demanding the best from everyone involved in our events.

As Uptown’s newest venue for the arts we live to host live music, local art exhibitions, film screenings and recording sessions.

Our goals are simple. We want to highlight the local talent that surrounds us and create a room accessible to all forms of artistic expression.

As a proud member of the Freret Street neighborhood, we constantly dedicate ourselves to creating an atmosphere that reflects the evolving personality of our community.

Feel free to browse through our recordings and come out to one of our events, we hope you stay a while!
